Become a Member

If you climb outside, please consider becoming a member. Both our organization and community find strength in numbers — the more members we have united with us, the more credible we become.

By uniting together, the voice of our climbing community is better heard when negotiating climbing access plans with landowners, managers, authorities, and our corporate sponsors.

Lifetime memberships are only $5. Your $5 helps us with administrative costs and helps fund annual events like the Beaver Valley Climbing Festival, Crag Stewardship Day at Conservation Halton, access projects and ongoing OAC programming.

The OAC is always looking for new volunteers. Whether you would like to help out with events or play a bigger role in our organization, we would love to hear from you. Visit our volunteer page to scope out our current opportunities.

Our Current Opportunities

If you don’t have time to donate to our volunteer initiatives, we are happy to take your cold hard cash. Your contribution supports administrative costs and special projects including previous projects such as the reopening of Niagara Glen or the purchase of Old Baldy.

*Please note that we are not presently a registered charity, so we cannot provide tax receipts for donations to the organization.

OAC Approved

In 2016, the OAC launched a program called “OAC Approved”. This program gives you peace of mind that your climbing-related activities are access-positive.

Look for our “OAC Seal of Approval” to show you what events, products, and guidebooks have been developed with access in mind.
