We are deeply thankful to our generous donors. Thanks to them, we are confident that we will succeed in raising the money needed to acquire land at Old Baldy.

Our corporate donors are:

The Ontario Access Coalition is pleased to announce a major success in preserving climbing access in Ontario – the replacement of aging fixed hardware at Old Baldy.

This milestone project has been made possible through the generous donation of new fixed hardware from Mountain Equipment Co-Op (MEC). In turn, the OAC has donated the hardware to a team of local volunteers, led by experienced bolters, who have already begun work on the project.

Grey Sauble Conservation Authority (GSCA) who manages the cliff has formally recognized the partnership with the OAC. Chris Hachey, the Land Management Coordinator for GSCA comments that the project is “to improve climbing access at Old Baldy Conservation area“. The GSCA officially kicked off the project on Friday, September 17, 2010 facilitating “volunteers from the climbing community to replace some of the aging bolts along the climbing routes. This ongoing project is being carried out to assist with improving safety along the climbing routes at Old Baldy. We look forward to working with the OAC and volunteers from the climbing community on this important project“.
